On Tuesday it was the School Production. Miss Evans was in charge. I felt nervous because my mum and dad were watching me. I saw my dressing room. It was loud. Room 11 and Room 12 were Moon Critters. We had masks on. Boys were red and girls were pink.

Super Writers
Today we wrote about what we did in the weekend. Our goal was to use correctly spelt 'speedy words' and listen carefully to the sounds we can hear in 'tricky words'. Marino, Jeremy and Cyan worked hard to achieve this goal! Kapai!
In the weekend I am going to the cafe in Whanganui and I am going to the park and I am going to the gas station on the way to Ashhurst and I want to go to my poppas.
By Jeremy
In the weekend on Saturday I went to the church with my mum and my aunty and my brother and my cousin and me.
By Marino
In the weekend my nanny came to my house for four sleeps. My dad said I was old enough to cook dinner but he was tricking me and Kahu. Me and Kahu and mum made pikelets. They were yummy! We all had some. On one of the pikelets had a shape that was a tree. That tree was big. I had one pikelet when it was Saturday night because I was hungry. The one I ate was fluffy inside.

Ronald McDonld
Ronald McDonald came to visit! He was very tall. He had red hair and huge red shoes. He taught us all about road safety. He taught us our poem of the week.
Stop
Look
and
Listen.
Before you cross the street.
First you use your eyes and ears
And then you use your feet.
The red light always says to stop.
The green light tells you go.
The orange light means careful,
important things to know.

The Cat In the Hat
We had a go at illustrating just like Dr Seuss. We drew the Cat in the Hat using crayon and dye. Then we wrote our own version of the story the Cat in the Hat.
It was a wet wet day and the children had Nothing to do. But then BANG! The Cat in the Hat came out of nowhere. Then he made the fish go up. He made a big mess. Then Thing 1 and Thing 2 made an even bigger mess and then they saw mum. But the Cat in the Hat came in with a cleaning machine. Then he cleaned up the mess.

We figured out that we eat about 7 meals a day and we eat lots of different types of food. Most of the time we eat what ever we want. After watching the East Timor video we could not believe that some people can only eat 1 meal a day!
We put our red hats on and got thinking!

Everyone needs food to live!
We have been thinking about how much food we eat, when we eat it and what foods we love and dislike. Now we are looking at how other people use food. We watched this video to get us thinking. What do you think? Leave a comment!

Red Hat Thinkhing
When we use our red hat we think about peoples feelings.
We put our red hats on and thought about how it would feel to have no or little water and how it would feel to have to work very hard to get our water.
This is what we thought...
hungry, thirsty, sick, exhausted,
tired, dirty, sleepy, smelly, sad,
miss people
How would you feel?
